1. Our room was facing the parks and at the end of the hall so we did not have any problem with noise from the freeway or others walking by our room.

When I arrived at the Fairfield after spending exhausting hours on busy LA freeways (that I am not used to) I was checked in by an extremely pleasant and efficient person, the famous cookies were avalable, the room was clean and cool - I felt like I had reached an oasis after a long hot frustrating day.

5. Although you are facing the freeway, if you get a room on the backside that noise is more like 'white noise' to which you can fall asleep.

10. We have stayed at other neighboring hotels and I prefer this location because we couldn't hear the freeway traffic yet it was far enough removed from Harbor that we didn't feel like we were right out in the middle of the street traffic either.
