1. It was close to great food, free parking, and a pretty decent contiental breakfast.

2. However the listing of free parking is deceiving, they have extremely limited free parking on first come,first served and allow guests from the previous night who have checked out to leave their vehicle the next day.

Hot wire was very helpful and we rebooked and went one star higher in our choices and yes we had to pay a bit more and pay for parking at our new hotel but it was totally worth it and was in a much better location to fisherman's wharf and transit and we slept better knowing that we weren't being exposed to some bio hazard in our room.

Everything about this hotel was aweful, the service, the 'continental breakfast' that you have to take back to your room (we were so grossed out we couldn't even eat it in our room, not to mention the meger breakfast offerings, there were fixtures missing on the wall, the tv didn't work, the room was dirty, the shower curtain had stuff on it, the screen was halfway off our window, we had to park on the street being we didnt get one of the few too close spots in the parking area, and the door didnt shut all the way.

7. We had a car, and one night when we couldn't park in the small motel lot we had to park on the street right outside and then get up early to move the car for street cleaning.

10. The parking garage is on ground level with Lombard Street and only has about 8 parking spaces, so you need to get there very early and not move your car.
