4. I booked a private room with ensuite, and this is exactly what I got, it was a room on the top floor, a corner room surround by windows, loads of natural light and views of downtown San Francisco , plus a microwave, TV and fridge in the room.

The room wasn't spotless but fine for the price, great view out onto the street as we were on the seventh floor (the lift worked fine throughout my 5 night stay), a bit noisey in the mornings beause of street cleaning and loose, single glazed windows but a pair of ear plugs solved that which I was expecting I would need for a hostel anyway.
