1. It is undergoing extensive refurbishment so I'll give it a try next time I'm in town on business as it is a lot more relaxing than the big downtown hotels and only 20 mins to Union Sq on the charming trolley cars.

2. The F-line street cars run straight past the hotel which is great for accessing the downtown area, but this does lead to some noise if you are in the front of the hotel.

10. But if you're going to see the city, I would suggest instead staying downtown and just travelling down to Fisherman's Wharf for a few hours on a trip (ie via cable car).
