1. There is free parking which is a huge advantage considering lots of hotels charge a minimum of $45 per day.

The best things about the hotel are the general value (you'll save hundreds per night compared to the brand name hotels in nearby Fisherman's Wharf), free parking (a real bonus in this city where some hotels charge over $40 per night to park), free continental breakfast, and convenient location within easy walking distance of shopping, restaurants, bars, and public transportation.

9. We originally chose this location because a) it was named as a very family-friendly hotel in SF by many websites and guidebooks AND because it may be the ONLY place in SF that does not charge for parking and we were planning on driving up there from LA.

10. In the morning they serve a light continental breakfast, which while very simple with it's bagels, oatmeal and coffee, is great if you're a budget traveler who just wants a small charge to start the day.
