I paid for a 2-bed room because I was visiting San Francisco with a friend but when I checked in they gave me a room with one king bed instead and said they had a double bed room available for only the second night of my stay so rather than change rooms 3 times, I agreed to stay in the single room and needless to say, had three very awkward nights with my friend and I sleeping in the same bed.
