2. Although at this particular hotel, there apparently can be no happy ending: a light bulb in the closet had been left on but someone cruel had ripped away the on/off string attached to the cieling mounted fixture.

3. We paid around $100/night for 2nd hand furniture, scary electrical, dirty furnace and air-conditioner vents, and a closet door that practically fell out of its jam if you opened the room door all the way.
