1. We had great service across the board from bell desk to housekeeping, pool attendees, front desk, and food serviceDecor - as lovely as pictured on the webLocation - on Ocean drive, with beach across the street, with a nice tiered patio out front for outdoor dining and drinking without having to be too close to the foot traffic that hops amongst the other establishmentsFood - great diverse menu.

3. The highlights: the front patio/bar area is beautifully decorated and fantastic for people watching; the beach area right across the street is gorgeous white sand and very efficient with chairs and an umbrella complimentary for guests of the hotel; the room was simply but beautifully furnished and very stylish; the staff was extremely polite and friendly; overall a great vibe and really lovely experience at the hotel.

4. Of course, it's not cheap to stay at The Tides, but a tip for booking: keep an eye on their website for special deals where you can save 40%, but don;t forget to take into account all of the complimentary goodies such as fruit and soft drinks at the pool, Molton Brown toiletries which keep appearing, along with bottled water every day [ they even offered us bottles for our trip as we were leaving ], free sunbeds, umbrellas at the beach etc.As you relax in the comfortable and elegant front patio of the Tides, you will notice numerous other tourists stopping to take photos of this hotel, but it is definitely the staff who made our stay so great.

7. You should know that it is a smaller hotel so only one main restaurant but they do a great job of producing variety in a couple different menu's (pool menu vs patio menu, vs fine dining inside).

8. Even though my friends and I were late getting home one evening, they allowed us to stay outside on the patio and served us after they were supposed to be closed.

9. Dinner in the hotel's restaurant was good and breakfast [which you can eat outside on the front patio or inside in the cool restaurant] was delicious, the omelets and citrus french toast are especially good.
