1. We had our car with us so we found it was only minutes away from Congress Street (fabulous casual dining options) and only a few more minutes away from downtown (museums, sports activities, etc, etc).

3. We heard a dog barking all night and called down to complain assuming it was the people in the room below us but the front desk attendant let us know it was a dog from the apt complex across the street!keep in mind we had no windows open.

4. I thought I would've liked to be closer to Downtown Austin, but the hotel was not as far from 6th Street as I thought.

5. It's true that the I-35 area in Austin should be avoided between 4pm and 6pm on weekdays, but we had no trouble navigating cross streets.
