When I left comments about this in a post-stay survey I was told to request a quiet room at the back next time - all very well, but I had requested a quiet room when booking!* Patchy front desk staff - some were hugely helpful, others, not so much* Check in was a bit of a mess - our room wasn't ready for over half an hour, despite us not arriving until 4pm* As other reviewers have mentioned, some facilities in the room need TLC.

I spent a week at the Affinia Gardens Hotel and it was a memorable experience, the suites were very comfortable, the service and the cleaning were excellent, but I really want to give a special thanks to Pedro Hilario and Glenda Gomez, managers of the hotel; Nigel and jennifer, front desk receivers and Krys, Sal and Michael, the bell boys, it was a nice experience, now I know that when I travel to Manhattan, I will stay at the Affinia Gardens Hotel, Thank you.

The incompetence in never delivering the package was bad enough (nothing stopped the front desk from sending it up with someone to leave in the room, if, as they falsely claimed, no one answered the phone when they called), but the total and blatant lie of the front desk manager and her unwillingness to accept responsibility and do something to make it right for my mother was completely unacceptable.

10. Small details that make it a special experience: there is a 'tea bar' in the lobby all day long, wine and cheese in the afternoons, huge cold water pitchers with fruit at the front desk, etc. .
