1. You can probably get cheaper but if you want a spacious central place this is well worth the cost.

2. I bit the bullet when my daughter wanted to open a bottle of Vitamin Water from the hotel-supplied stash in the refrigerator, then was happy to see the cost was 'only' $4.88, a smaller markup than I'd expect in a Manhattan hotel.

3. the Upper East Side isn't exactly rough, but the Affinia Gardens is a unsuspecting hotel that offers a great location with easy proximity to the subway and contemporary comforts and styling at a reasonable cost.

4. And Michelle Paulino went above and beyond to help get show tickets and Shefi Kowashnick coordinated our car service (which is more cost effective then taking a taxi to and from the airport, btw) and we had no worries.

Well, firstly, he had no idea what rate we paid but for the record, it cost USD169 per night plus tax and, if the Affinia Gardens does not like selling their rooms at that price, then they shouldn't make such deals available as it was booked directly on their own website via Travelzoo for access to the promo code.
