1. no free wifi in the rooms, but a free hotspot in the lobby, where complimentary coffee and tea was available (never used either service).

2. For what they are charging you would expect the smaller details to be taken care of such as furniture with no rips and maybe a better stocked kitchen, and a more accurate description of what they actually offer ie they don't offer views, the serenity tea room is not serene and the complimentary coffee is only available for a few hours.

4. Pros:* Rooms are huge - couldn't be further away from your normal NYC shoebox* Location - only a few blocks from Central Park, close to Bloomingdales and other great shopping, easy 5-10 min walk to 2 subway stations, a few good gourmet food stores nearby for breakfast items, easy picnics, etc.* We were in a one bed apt with a full kitchen, which made travelling with a toddler so much easier* Great doormen - very friendly and lovely with our daughter* Complimentary tea / coffee, both in room and in the lobby* Not cheap, but a lot more affordable than other apartment hotels of the same standardCons:* Free (or even cheaper) wi-fi in the rooms: it was very expensive* Street noise - as mentioned by previous reviewers, the garbage trucks make a racket at all hours of the night.
