There is a patch of green across the
street
in front of the library for the dogs convenience, and this did work for us, but alas, there were no other patches of green in the immediate neighborhood.
"Finally got to bring a dog to enjoy the service and amenities! "

I had breakfast in the hotel restaurant, and it was delicious (and a great place to linger), but there's also a Starbucks a few doors down, and a Seattle's Best Coffee across the
street
(in addition to the coffee in the lobby mornings).

Supposedly built in a former bank- welcoming cheerful staff- room 607 is large with Queen bed, no view- good small bath with lighted shave mirror and hairdryer; good bath amenities- T V and purchase films, the latter expensive-Avoid breakfast as it's too pricey; cross the
street
to the Seattle Brew or turn left to Starbucks- the hotel serves coffee in the Libby until 9 AM and has a 5 PM wine tasting with snacks which is free- only blocks from Pikes Place-.

We didn't have any issues with
street
noise and only had noisy neighbors one of the nights.

Four newspapers were available in the lobby for free: The Wall
Street
Journal, USA Today, The New York Times, and a Seattle newspaper.

when walking east, back to the hotel from the waterfront, use a
street
like Union or Pike, not on Spring or Seneca, they are very steep and a lot harder to climb up, especially when you're wearing heels.

the central library is across the
street
- cafes and amazing ethnic food surround you and so you can eat cheap and great within a walk from the hotel.

It's about a 10-minute (lovely) walk to the Market down
street
s that are interesting in their own right, and about 3 minutes from amazing shopping.
