2. Sam's Town is a nice little gem 6 miles away from the strip---but as usual in taking care of your needs---they provide a free shuttle bus to both the new and old strips.

Local amenities are plentiful A Walgreens, WalMart and liquor store are all within a very short walk as are about 10 fast food options, theres a mall and lots of shops at Sunset Station just a 5 minute easy drive away and if you really dont want to drive, there are city buses all night to both Caesars palace and Freemont street with the stops about 300 yards away - as well as the free but rather infrequent shuttle bus.
