2. The hotel's location on Boulder Highway meant that we could easliy get out of town and onto the freeways for trips to Lake Mead/Hoover Dam and the Grand Canyon (West Rim & Skywalk) for which we chose to drive.

3. We intended to go to Red Rock Canyon, Death Valley, Valley of Fire, etc, not the strip for the most part, so this was easy access to the freeways.
