1. Kona Tiki is basic, comfortable, convenient to everything, and for the cost, truly a gem on the Big Island.
"We're Headed Back Soon! " Read full review on TripAdvisor   1/4/2009 Vote
2. I really don't know how much an ocean front room can cost, but this one is amazing for $100 per night.
"Loved the Ocean Front " Read full review on TripAdvisor   1/27/2012 Vote
3. The breakfast is nice -- a lovely array of fresh fruits, cerals, rolls, breads, jams, etc. It costs about $100/night, so I may choose the Kona Seaside for less money and a slightly nicer room.
"Interesting place but the waves are loud " Read full review on TripAdvisor   5/9/2011 Vote
4. What we didn't like (and this will clearly vary season to season) is that the managers during our stay were not efficient, gave us unclear and essentially false information about the cost of booking activities through them (promised discounts that did not materialize, tried to steer us away from vendors we asked for, etc.).
"Great budget choice -- Take your chance on who's "managing" " Read full review on TripAdvisor   8/13/2010 Vote
5. After all if it was modernized, then it would cost a lot more per night.
"ocean view rooms, great location " Read full review on TripAdvisor   3/17/2010 Vote
6. Considering the value of Kona Tiki (and the other hotel we stayed at - The Manago in Captain Cook) we came to realize that it is possible to take a trip to Hawaii including airfare from the US East Coast for not much more than the cost of a room rental for a summer week at a US East Coast beach.
"Loved It! " Read full review on TripAdvisor   6/14/2008 Vote
7. Before you go to Hawaii, be prepared for sticker shock -- everything costs about twice as much as on the mainland.
"The Kona Tiki Hotel: Most love it, a few leave it " Read full review on TripAdvisor   1/20/2012 Vote
