1. After thinking about it some more, particularly about how badly managed The Wave Hotel is, I decided to check with the front desk to make sure that I was not being charged for days I did not use valet parking.

2. The woman at the front desk immediately asked, 'Did you tell anyone that you no longer wanted to use valet parking?' I replied, 'No, but I also did not tell anyone I wanted to use valet parking for my entire stay.

5. Because the parking situation in South (Miami) Beach is chronically bad, especially during peak times like on the Sunday evening when we arrived, we decided to forego the frustration of trying to find a parking spot and used valet parking on that particular day, which cost us $30.

They don't really start till 8, and by that time you should be on your way to the beach already anywayAs mentioned the valet parking provided is $30 a day, if you park your car in one of the available multi storey car parks you only pay $15 - $20 a day, so the parking wasn't a problem if you look around a bit.
