To end on a (small!) positive note though, Jose at the
front desk
was nice, and the bartender with the shaved head (did not get his name) was honest and helpful in regard to finding less pricey drinks.

The good points:As mentioned above, the service was very good, the
front desk
provided assistance whenever needed and the location is right accross the street from the beach and it is only a short walk to the action.

staff is very pleasant and helpful and as usual (this was our third stay here) we got assigned a room immediately upon arrival although it was several hours before check-in.

After thinking about it some more, particularly about how badly managed The Wave Hotel is, I decided to check with the
front desk
to make sure that I was not being charged for days I did not use valet parking.

immediately asked, 'Did you tell anyone that you no longer wanted to use valet parking?' I replied, 'No, but I also did not tell anyone I wanted to use valet parking for my entire stay.

He then became rude with me, a (paid) guest in his hotel, and told the woman at the

to refund my money because he 'did not have time for this right now.
