1. The location is great for seeing the entire island as it is about in the middle when considering the main highway.

On my last night in Kauai, I had not booked any accommodation, after exploring the north side of the island and driving back towards Lihue I saw the Coral Reef Hotel, I pulled in and within 10mins I had a room, the price is good and the location in Kapaa was great as I spent the afternoon walking and exploring the township.

4. Its a small family run place - so don't expect the Grand Hyatt - but they make up for the small size with very comfortable and attractive guest rooms, great location and absolutely reasonable rates.

6. As we were headed to Hanalei Bay for the majority of our time on the island, the Coral Reef Hotel, ideally located just about 15 minutes north of the airport, proved to be both a wonderful spot to both kick-off our island adventure and begin our re-entry into our day-to-day mainland reality.
