1. Rate was fair for ocean view, less than $100, but the rooms are dated, and I had three complaints: No exhaust fan in the bathroom; very thin and worn out towels; and hard pillows.

2. Beach is so-so and pillows could be a bit better, but again, considering everything around is $200+ per night, for $80 that I got here, its a great place to stay and explore east/north shores of Kauai.

9. The bedroom had only 2 pillows on the bed, and after we gave the other 2 pillows in the room to our kids sleeping on the pull-out sofa, we asked for 2 more -- those never arrived.
