1. I enjoy the hotel's location- cove-like tidal breaks protecting the beach for small kid friendly swimming, 10 minutes away from the airport, and just before traffic congestion in downtown Kapaa.

5. We chose this particular resort hotel on recommendation of our travel agent because of the great location--about 20 minutes from the airport, near town and restaurants, and best of all, adjacent to a lovely state park and beach, The park has playground equipment, sheltered picnic facilities and shaded grassy areas.

9. This may seem like a minor point BUT sometimes it's raining on the north shore but sunny and clear in the south, so it's nice to always to have more of a choice with your vacation time, and 7) direct easy access to family friendly Lydgate beach park/picnic area where it's safe for the kids to swim and snorkel (there is a separate, bounded shallow area just for kids) and adults can enjoy sunrise/sunset strolls/jogging, 8) there is a poolside restaraunt which has food items 'to go' so it's easy to take to the beach park which is only a few quick paces away, 9) Nearby golfing, 10) hotel has tennis court, and 11) there is a 24/7 Safeway (the ONLY 24/7 store on the island!) only minutes away in nearby Kauai Village.

10. The location is awesome, right on Lyngate Beach, great place to swim and watch the sunrise every morning, not to mention see the whales jump all day.
