The only thing that left me scratching my head was the

did a surface clean-up but could have done a more thorough job.

to the restaurant employees were great.

You add water to the reservoir (which you expect is cleaned by
housekeeping
as part of their checklist,) you place the coffee pod in the tray, close the lid and push the buttom.
