2. IT SAYS THE HOTEL IS 2 BLOCKS FROM THE BEACHES, BUT THERE ARE NO BEACHES, THERE ARE COVES ONLY, SO IF YOU ARE PLANNING ON A QUIET VACATION ON THE BEACH YOU BETTER HAVE A CAR TO DRIVE ABOUT 10 MINUTES BEFORE YOU CAN GET TO THE BEACH.

3. A short walk from the ocean, a nice (albeit simple) free continental breakfast, and one of the most beautiful beaches I've ever seen, full of seals and pelicans and cool caves to explore.

9. The Best Western Inn by the Sea is walking distance from the beach and the main "village" areas of La Jolla, and a 5-10 minute drive from the business areas and UC San Diego, VA Medical Center, Scripps Institute of Oceanography (Birch Aquarium).
