2. walk 2 blocks down the road and see how minimalist can be done up with nice accessorization and a classy feel over at the Delano, which also has much more beautiful grounds and furniture.

3. We chose the hotel beause of the location but if you walk 2 blocks to the Ritz Carlton you can find an oasis of elegance for just a few more bucks.

6. The skybar/red room bar within the hotel are very cool recognised nightspots with the same stylish clientele, Fri/Sat night involves queuing to get into the red room, however if you are a resident you can avoid this and walk straight in, a decent benefit of staying here.

7. It was a 20 minute walk to some of the hotsports on Ocean Drive but it didn't bother us any.

8. The closed in cat walks with cement floors carry sound and we were woken up by partiers both evenings.

9. The concierge made good restaurant recommendations- Nobu of course, and everyone must go to- OLA- just a short walk away, and were not blown away by Prime112 which made us wait > 1 1/2 hr even with reservations.

10. And if that's not enough, just walk another 100 feet and you're at the Ocean Edge where they set you up with comfy beach chairs and towels, with waited service.
