2. The receptionist was friendly and gave us an excellent recommendation for dinner that night (Spiga is a couple of blocks' walk north of the hotel) although the lady that replaced him the following morning was surly and bordering on rude.

3. Friendly bartender and really helpfull staff - the hotel may not have the finest services (no dinner/restaurant for example) but this really doesn't matter when you have SoBe on your doorstep.

4. If you walk up to the Lincoln road area for dinner & shopping, stay on Collins - we walked through some of the parallel streets (inland from the beach) and they were quite seedy and narrow.

7. Don't put off going up to Lincoln Mall which is the best pedestrian mall I've ever been to and check out the Nexxt Cafe there for lunch or dinner.
