1. Nice hotel in Santa Monica, a couple of blocks off the beach but conveniently situated for a weekend's worth of activities in LA.

2. My only disappointment was that my room was on the 6th floor and under the 'penthouse' restaurant -- the restaurant is also where breakfast is served and at 5am you could hear the activity including feet stomping, chairs sliding and muffled voices.
