1. The hotel was clean and parking very convenient and cheaper by far compared to Manhattan.

2. On the other hand, right behind the hotel was a BJ's, supermarket, and a couple blocks away more shopping (Target, JC Penney, etc) with the convenience of big parking lots for the mini-van family.

6. Also, if you desire to see the Statue of Liberty or Ellis Island, you drive a few miles south to Liberty Park, pay $7 for parking, and catch the Ferry there for the sights.
