1. No balcony, but again who cares and who has time in Waikiki to sit on the balcony when in less than 30 seconds you could be on the beach or strolling on the main strip.

4. Yes, the hotel is a few steps away from the beach, but being able to sit on your balcony in the morning and watch the city wake up would be nice.
