1. That was apparently not the case, as when I went back after buying a candle in the gift shop ($37.50) the person checking the bill said she was sending that back now.

2. When I received the bill for the extra room charges (a bottle of champagne for an anniversary toast, and an anniversary dinner at the hotel restaurant), I was informed that the manager had ensured that everything was 'taken care of'.

3. The room temperature control, location of iron and ironing board, the mini bar, identified items that were free and those that would appear on your bill if I chose to eat or drink, pointed out the iPod docking station, and where all the cable hook ups were for my computer or other electronic devices.

5. Glanced at my bill this morning at the Ritz Atlanta, after a one-night stay for business, and discovered that (1) they had billed me for $76 in alcohol that I never drank, apparently associated with room service that I never requested or received, and (2) they had charged me $9.95 for internet access, even though the letter I received at check-in said internet access would be free.
"Check the Bill - Carefully " Read full review on TripAdvisor   8/17/2010 Vote
6. I can only imagine our accounting department laying eyes on a $76 booze bill for one night.

7. But two erroneous charges on one bill, for one night, is a spectacularly poor performance.

8. Several months later I caught an issue with the billing, and the staff fixed it right away which also impressed me versus being directed to some kind of call center.
