1. That is what it was - small but clean 'suite', very uncomfortable sofa bed - ouch - dated decor, exterior corridors like a motel, and small bathroom.
"Okay but not special " Read full review on TripAdvisor   2/27/2012 Vote
2. The only problem I have is that the suites which are extremely comfortable and appear brand new are acessed from an exterior coutyard which yes might be pkeasNt in the winter in AZ bit when it is 105 out I found it not fun as Phoenix has high humidity unlike the other areas we visited in AZ .
"Near Sky Harbor Airport for early flight home " Read full review on TripAdvisor   7/23/2011 Vote
3. The Exterior of the courtyard is a little funky and the room doors open to the outside but all that is of little consequence once you stay there a few days.
"Great Value--Wonderful Breakfast " Read full review on TripAdvisor   3/18/2010 Vote
4. It is unusual for a Doubletree to be an exterior corridor but the weather in phoenix rarely rains so I was not surprised.
"I think it was previously an Embassy Suites " Read full review on TripAdvisor   10/17/2011 Vote
5. When booking, I was a little concerned that many older hotels in the area have all rooms opening onto an exterior corridor.
"Yes, It Really Is Quiet " Read full review on TripAdvisor   3/17/2011 Vote
6. I also thought the room was dark; this is because the living room window looks right out on the exterior hallway and in order to let in light you had to let the world see into your room as they walk to their rooms, which I don't care to do.
"Sort of an odd place; below DoubleTree/Hilton standards " Read full review on TripAdvisor   5/27/2010 Vote
7. The only kicker is the hotel is exterior corridor, its not interior corridor so when the weather is bad you feel it all the way up to your room which can be far away as the hotel seemed quite large.
"Great Location Next to PHX Airport " Read full review on TripAdvisor   2/24/2010 Vote
8. The walkway is on the exterior of the rooms.
"doublethunder " Read full review on Expedia   2/13/2010 Vote
9. There was plenty of complimentary self parking, check-in was smooth (we got the usual yummy chocolate chip cookies) and the exterior and grounds of the hotel were very nice.
"Turned out to be better than at first glance " Read full review on TripAdvisor   2/21/2012 Vote
