4. Among my minor complaints that prevent an 'excellent' review: the rooms are small (though not unusual for cities such as DC); because of the small rooms your bed is not far from the door, so you hear just about everything in the hall, including housekeeping talking loudly on their radios (I always consider a sign of an exceptional hotel to be one in which you never see or are never disturbed by housekeeping); the aforementioned housekeeping is a bit inconsistent in number of towels, bottles of complimentary water, etc. While I know we could ring for the 'butler' at any time for any need, given that we were actually calling downstairs to someone who would have to run up an extra towel or water, we were usually reluctant.
