1. As Marriotts go, I'd rate it as just average, but compared to similar hotels, it's somewhere above average but not quite 'very good'.

4. I stayed in a disgusting Best Western in Miami Beach and THAT hotel had a nice-sized mini-fridge which was very helpful.

6. If I stay at a Fairfield Inn, I don't expect these extras, but at a Renaissance that charges a fortune and bills itself as a luxury boutique hotel, the expectation is much higher, and this place was disappointing.

10. The hotel was within walking distance to many locations in the Capitol that I needed to get to and also close to the GWU metro location.
