However, this hotel is on an island just off downtown Memphis - very safe with
free
parking
on site.

The location means you have to drive into downtown Memphis, although
parking
at the hotel is
free
and easy and
parking
in Memphis was simple and reasonable enough and a taxi fare was only about $10.00.

Having a car is a plus, and
parking
at the Inn is
free
and easy, but if you choose not to do that, you can walk over the bridge and catch a trolley that loops around the downtown area.

After driving over the bridge to Mud Island, we found
free
parking
right in front of the hotel (which was a relief b/c we were traveling with a car full of valuables) and upon check in were greeted with
free
champagne.

We got a good rate on their summer dream special and it ended up being equal to a good downtown hotel and with

Parking
was also very convenient - there is a valet option but we just parked right in front of the hotel for
free
(so it was nice to know that the area was not sketchy).
