1. The elevator creaks from floor to floor, the parking-while free-is barely adequate and you better have nothing larger than a compact car to navigate the 'garage'.

6. I didn't watch any tv but stared out the window watching boats on the lake and ppl running etc. Other then the view, the free parking and the closeness of the museums we visited( MSI, Shedd, and Field) everything else pretty much sucked.

At first wasn't sure about this location, I wanted to be close to downtown, at check this nice clerk was telling me about a free shuttle that they offer to downtown and best of all free parking the rooms need a little work but the bed was comfortable and very clean i will be back on my next trip.

Pros:- close to University of Chicago with shuttle service to/from campus 3x/day- free gated parking- friendly, helpful staffCons:- shower drain was backed up, so I showered in regurgitated bathtub water- thermostat dial broken and permanently set on hot, so I slept with the windows open in January in Chicago- TV did not work (remote or television itself).

20. The best features of the hotel are the proximity to the University of Chicago and the free parking - and the very reasonable room rates.
