1. Views from the room not great and the blinds could be better , perhaps with something else to cover the window if you don't want to be in total darkness.
"Excellent " Read full review on TripAdvisor   5/6/2012 Vote
2. The view was not great but we are not in our hotel room very muchplus this is Washington DC too many buildings to get views.

3. Now the exceptional, the good, and the bad:The Exceptional: Complimentary hot chocolate with fixins in the lobby daily from 2 to 4:30 If you join the Kimpton in Touch program, wi-fi is free and you get $10 worth of complimentary items from the mini-bar in the room A wine reception (we didn't go to this, so I don't have the specifics) DVD player in the room Robes in the room Ipod docking station on the clock radio Night light in the bathroom Shelf in the shower stall They recycle paper, aluminum, and plasticThe Good: Separate tub and shower stall Marble bathroom Flat screen TV Good bed and good bedding Work desk Quiet Pleasant staff Location 1 1/2 blocks from the Union Station subway Park on the street free after 6:30 PM and on weekendsThe Not So Good: The view outside our window was office buildings and nothing else They might have better views if you ask The TV had the time wrong by many hours and many minutes with no way to fix it The clock radion had the time wrong by about 10 minutes with no way to fix it We requested that someone come to re-set the clock radio time, but no one ever came The bathroom light had a very difficult switch.
"A nice hotel with many plusses and only a few hitches " Read full review on TripAdvisor   12/26/2011 Vote
4. I must say our view was horrible, but I'm sure there are rooms with something else to look at rather than an office building staring right back at you.
"Comfortable room, wonderful staff. " Read full review on TripAdvisor   9/7/2011 Vote
5. No good views out your window, but we really weren't there for the hotel views.
"Our first "whirlwind" tour of DC " Read full review on TripAdvisor   7/2/2011 Vote
6. Our room faced out towards the trash (not a great view!) so we were woken up early on trash day but it wasn't a big deal really.
"Great for a short stay! " Read full review on TripAdvisor   2/5/2010 Vote
7. If I had more energy when I checked in, I might have asked for a room that faced the street but honestly, I was just so happy to be in a nice cheerful room, despite the lack of view.
"Enjoyed the Hotel George... " Read full review on TripAdvisor   8/5/2007 Vote
8. Both rooms, however, had the one of the poorest views I've seen in a hotel (or an apartment) and received very little sunlight - directly looking out on a building that was likely no more than 15 feet away (you could see in the rooms of the other building).
"ok hotel, but view was not good " Read full review on TripAdvisor   5/14/2012 Vote
9. There is no view of interestingness just a office building.
"Great location and staff but the room smelled bad. " Read full review on TripAdvisor   4/29/2012 Vote
10. We were assigned a room on the 2nd floor, which had zero view of DC - it was just a view of a brick building next door.
"Nice hotel but not as impressed as I thought I would be " Read full review on TripAdvisor   4/8/2012 Vote
