1. Be careful leaving the hotel and walking downtown because the neighborhood makes an abrupt change after a few blocks.

9. While the hotel is perfectly situated for travel to and from Union Station, and is close to the Capitol and not far from the Mall, be aware that walking west towards Downtown takes you through some seedy areas.
