1. In saying that, this was the first time in 7 visits to Vegas from the UK where we had not stayed in a property owned by MGM/Mirage so there was a risk there in itself as we have always enjoyed our stays at the likes of the MGM Grand, Luxor, NYNY etc. We had however visited Planet Hollywood many times in the past so although the property was new from a hotel point of view, it was still very familiar to us.

2. The real crowd pleaser was the view, an absolutely stunning view of the Bellagio fountains, Caesars Palace and directly across from the Cosmopolitan.

5. We upgraded to a strip view room and were not disappointed, the room was large, the bed was comfy and the bathroom was gorgeous.

6. Stayed in Planet Hollywood with my two daughters and although the Bellagio is amazing to see, we were right across the street, had all the amenities required and it was not nearly as expensive as Bellagio plus we got the panoramic view of the dancing water venue.

POSITIVE:- location (very central)- no resort fees (but see negatives below on how they somehow charge them indirectly)- cheap room rates- nice view if choose or pay for the upgraded 'Bellagio Fountain' view- fast check through the TV or by completing and dropping a form in a box at the lobby but again check the bill .

10. We were upgraded from Resort Room to one of the end rooms - 1580 - great view of bellagio fountains from everywhere in that room - so much room in there, it was great.
