1. If you're lucky enough to get a high room on the north side you'll get a view up the hill; but you're more likely to end up on the other side with a terrible view or no view at all.

2. A family member who joined me the next day was given a room on the same floor in which the window actually had FROSTED GLASS to hide how ugly the view was outside: it looked directly on to the building next door's rooftop, complete with all the machinery you find on top of commercial premises.

3. You could also hear some outside noise (I shudder to think what those with a view of the street could hear), but its location makes it virtually impossible to block out this type of noise and I cannot fault them on this issue.

8. The only disadvantage was that there was no room view as it faced a wall and the room was quite dark even with all the ambient lighting.

9. Despite the fact that neither room had a view, I very much enjoyed this hotel and would stay there again.

10. On the bright side, our first night at the sister hotel was complementary however this was only after much haggling with the front desk staff who checked us into a matchbox sized room with a view of the side of another building.
