1. Not a big deal, but little touch ups like rusty shower curtain rods and fixing the bubbling paint in the bathroom would boost the overall experience of the room.

2. The bathroom was acceptable for the size/location of the hotel, however we noticed either mold or mildew on the celling; probably due to the lack of a exhaust fan for the moist shower environment.

3. The hotel did a decent job of serving my purpose of the trip but the most disappointing thing was the bathroom: the shower drain was very slow and when I called the front desk they quickly tried to rectify it by sending up the engineer to fix it, he did a good job but still was not completely perfect.

4. Also the shape of the tub was very strange the shower curtain didnt fit well in it so it kept hitting me while I took a shower, a bit annoying.

What is a shame is that the other staff were unaware of some of the decisions, for example - i wanted late check out and despite this being offered till 1pm (not the 2pm that I'd asked for), i had 10-12 people knocking on my door whilst packing and showering to leave, in fact someone came into my room whilst i was in the shower.

Our room had a very comfortable king-size bed, large TV, iron plus board, safe and even a free shoe-cleaning service, but fellow Brits will be surprised to find no tea/coffee-making facilities (something the humblest B & B provides back home), nor any shower gel among the toiletries - not even on request.
