1. They seemed old, as they appeared to have been 'renovated'.

2. Parking is $32 per night (up from $25 last year apparently, looking through older posts), resort fees are $17 per night, and the main pool by the spa was closed for renovations while I was there.

4. The food at Baleen was good, we ate there every day as the Barefoot was closed for renovations The staff were understanding about having a child in tow, and promptly brought to go containers, and supplied us with the extras (ketchup & peanut butter) that toddlers appreciate.

6. It was vastly overpriced for the quality:- The much-touted multimillion dollar renovations had the feel of being done on the cheap, just enough to be attractive at first glance, but actually pretty shabby upon closer inspection (chipped paint, unpatched drywall dents, falling-down mirrors, cheap mismatched door knobs, etc.
"Disappointing - great people, shabby accommodations for the price " Read full review on TripAdvisor   1/2/2012 Vote
7. The room was clean, may a little dated but it looked like it had been renovated.
"Pretty location and resort " Read full review on TripAdvisor   10/9/2011 Vote
8. )The rooms had been renovated since our last trip in 2007 and whilst the comments about the dusty floors did have some validity, overall we were very pleased with the standard of accommodation - after all, you're walking about in flip flops/sandals or barefoot, so you're bound to bring in a certain level of dust and dirt.
"Third visit, would come back again! " Read full review on TripAdvisor   9/4/2011 Vote
9. You can tell there have been major renovations and/or updates because the paint on the walls seems a little worn and repainted with several coats.
"Fabulous Island Style Resort in the City " Read full review on TripAdvisor   7/31/2011 Vote
10. The buildings are al one story and ha e been renovated.
"Tropical, nice place for families too vacation with lots of activities! " Read full review on TripAdvisor   7/30/2011 Vote
