They allowed us to check in early :), but upon arrival at our room, we discovered two things: we'd been placed in the older (remodeled) section and we'd been assigned to a room on the ground floor with parked cars facing our room (think traffic in and out at night and early in the morning with accompanying headlights).

Our newly remodeled large room had an amazing view of the bay (we paid a little extra for it and it was worth it to see the sunset every night), the bed was comfortable (with lots of extra pillows), food service was totally reasonable (not something we usually take advantage of), the Blue Pearl restaurant was great (especially our breakfast experiences there because of the staff) and had a diverse enough menu to satisfy our taste.
