4. I just completed a four night stay at the Omni SD for a convention and must say that for a first class hotel the noise level (I was on the 17th floor) was very annoying.

7. To be fair, not only the Omni suffers from this noise issue - about 80% of the hotels in the area of the convention center are adjacent to the tracks.

8. It is at the Southeast corner of the Gaslamp district, so you can walk a block or two in the action without having to put up with the noise or congestion of being right in the middle of it.

10. Some other reviewers had remarked on noise which we didn't notice at all but there is a train track nearby as well as the Hard Rock - I did hear some music around midnight but not to the point of waking us up.
