1. I'm pretty sensitive to noise so this is a major factor bumping my review from 4 stars up to 5.
"A must for those seeking the unusual " Read full review on TripAdvisor   4/23/2012 Vote
2. It seemed very quiet, I never heard any other patrons in their rooms and with a double set of doors into the room, never heard any noise from the hallway.
"A must for those seeking the unusual " Read full review on TripAdvisor   4/23/2012 Vote
3. There were no hair dryers in the room and no TV (I get it; they would definitely present a noise problem).
"great fun, comfort not so much " Read full review on TripAdvisor   3/25/2012 Vote
4. About the guest rooms: they are large and quirky with the original chalkboards (satisfies the wannabe teacher in me), but with lots of hard surfaces all over noise is not dampened in any way, either from the hallways or adjoining rooms.
"great fun, comfort not so much " Read full review on TripAdvisor   3/25/2012 Vote
5. Yes, it is an older building, and there are various creaks and noises, keycards requiring door jiggling etc.
"One of the best places I've stayed " Read full review on TripAdvisor   1/21/2012 Vote
6. Our room had an outside door that unlocked into an inner hall before unlocking to our room; this did provide a buffer to some noise, but our room was directly across from the main dining area and consequently we could hear some foot traffic through the night.
"Who knew school could be this fun? " Read full review on TripAdvisor   11/3/2011 Vote
7. In the former case, the ceiling fans don't quite do enough to keep the rooms cooled down, and leaving windows open in many rooms means you hear a lot of street noise.
"lots of nice things, but a few drawbacks " Read full review on TripAdvisor   10/23/2011 Vote
8. While we were ok with it, I can see it bothering people that are sensitive to noise.
"Wonderful, fun, and relaxing! " Read full review on TripAdvisor   6/29/2011 Vote
9. I had absolutely no issues with noise.
"Exactly what I expected! " Read full review on TripAdvisor   5/3/2011 Vote
10. I didn't hear the street noise or the people in the room next to us.
