1. I took a chill pill, but if you want peace and quiet, dislike bars and drinkers dislike children, dislike young adults, like carpets and TVs in your room, and want to be able to walk out to a convenience store and pick up a few things--- stay elsewhere.

2. What makes McMenamins magical:-the building, with its history and amazing artwork-its location -- a short walk to Alberta St which is a great place for restaurants, etc-most of its staff -- the majority of the people who work here are incredibly nice-its bars -- great beer, fantastic fresh-squeezed margaritas, funny bartender -- get a drink and sit out front -- especially nice at night where there's a fire in the firepit-the soaking tub -- still absolutely love it.
