1. construction in the center of the strip was not really a problem, but will be worse until the middle of December.

6. It's a quick 4 day vacation, we have stayed in many different Hotels, the best Hotel has been Ceasars but right now there is construction going on, building a new tower by the pool do not know if the tower will block the sun.

Pluses: Very quiet with no remodeling/construction noise in August 2008, nicely furnished (one exception: the bed; see below), friendly and helpful casino staff, fast elevators, good housekeeping, reasonable prices for/didn't gouge on in-room phone calls and room service, good value for room rate paid, convenient mid-Strip location.

8. Most of my family stayed at the Jockey Club (located right across the street) but I neglected to stay there due to the amount of construction that surrounded the hotel.
