1. My room on the 5th floor overlooked F street, but was really quiet with almost no perceptible street noise.

2. ) My guests had a top-floor room facing the back, which meant that there was not much of a view, but they avoided the noise of both 9th and F Streets, which can be very loud, especially on weekends.

4. The room was very quiet; we didn't hear a sound from outside or in the building; the window was double pane, with an additional storm pane, which eliminated all street noise.

8. If you were still awake when this happened, you found yourself getting up just to stop the noise and turn on the a/c again because it was getting hot and you needed the a/c and fan to kick on.
