1. I did a bedbug check and things were kosher, so for a place like this, that almost warrants getting an extra star.

2. My tip (if you HAVE to stay here like I did because it's sold out everywhere else for the gem convention) -- ask for a room that DOESN'T face Speedway.

3. Because there is space between the door and the floor, noise in the hallways makes you feel like someone is trying to enter your room.
"Heinous " Read full review on TripAdvisor   10/31/2011 Vote
4. Granted, they were trying to keep the place nice by painting the hallways while we were there, but that had such a strong odor, it's like, Really? Painting in the middle of summer when the hotel is full? The entire hotel is really understaffed, so the restaurants have stale, old food and when you walk into either of them you have to wait to find a staff member who happens to walk by.

8. It was getting late and we didn't feel like driving back to Phoenix, so we decided to stay at the Shearaton Tucson Hotel and Suites thinking it would be nice.

10. I think the hotel heard prior complaints re: stinky carpets, seems like they're always shampooing them now, so mine was damp but clean.
