1. The reception desk was severely understaffed every evening of our stay, and the personnel present were inexperienced and gave the appearance that they were either in or fresh out of high school.

Only minor points were no way to lock the balcony door when open a couple of inches (since I prefer fresh air rather than any a/c) and no safe in room, but there was a proper night-chain/device on the main room door (not my hated but increasingly common device that a pass key can open from outside).
