1. This hotel is perfectly located in the Pearl district, within walking distance to Powell's books, the riverfront, several restaurants and drinking establishments (Bailey's Taproom, the Bijou Cafe, Deschutes), cool shops and it's by the MAX rail stop.

2. And to think that the wood used in lobby is no longer available anywhere in the world AND that it was purchased from a Czar in Russia is so cool.

3. The food on the plate was cool (not cold but no where near hot) and the toast was delayed another 10 minutes only to find it was only toasted on one side - the other side was soft white bread.

9. We were there in a heatwave (for Portland) 90 degree weather and the ac kept the room very cool.
