1. If you love upscale hotels in central locations, you'll be hard pressed to find anything better, bargain wise, than the newly refurbished Westin Portland.

10. Yes, the lobby and hallways look nice and the rooms have some new furniture but there are still plenty of touches to remind you this is an old place.
